Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is an increasingly important part of today’s society. While SD Europe believes in this mission and works with an increasingly diverse network year after year, we still always are striving to improve!

In October 2021, SD Europe partnered with KickIn! for an internal team and board of directors training session about DEI in Football. The session was led by Daniela Wurbs of KickIn! gave a deep dive into unconscious bias, inclusivity, and set SD Europe on the path towards creating a joint DEI statement.
The next steps will be to finalise internal policies and implement them within the daily activities. The goal, when appropriate, will be to offer training for the SD Europe membership on inclusive policy and practice.
Antonia Hagemann, SD Europe’s CEO, commented: ‘This workshop is the first step to creating policies to hold us accountable in our day-to-day work. Believing in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and implementing those DEI values - are equally as important!’
