LIAISE is a unique two-year collaborative partnership that brings together supporters, football associations, football leagues and stakeholders including Uefa and the EU Think Tank of Football Safety and Security Experts for the first time.
Outputs & Outcomes
LIAISE kicked off in January 2018 and will run for two years until December 2019. A number of activities and events have already been held and for more information on all the activities planned as part of the project, see Project Background.
Launch meeting: Prague
The project’s opening meeting was hosted by the LFA in March 2018 and saw the LIAISE partners come together as a group for the first time.
Training workshop on supporter liaison: Stockholm
SEF organised the first training workshop, closely co-ordinating with the SD Europe team to present three days of information and practical insight in Supporter Liaison.
Exchange visit 1: LFA to BFU
The first exchange visit of the project took place in Sofia around the Bulgarian Cup final in May, with the LFA travelling to spend time with their BFU counterparts.
The project aims for a Liaison-based Integrated Approach to Improving Supporter Engagement. Activities focus on the development of the supporter liaison officer (SLO) role through a better understanding, awareness and implementation of established good practices, and will be coordinated by SD Europe.
