The session was part of the 1st National Football Policing Training Seminar under Sub-project 5 of the Coe/EU joint Erasmus+ ProS4+ project

Kicking off a series of bilateral meetings planned for the coming months, the Spanish Football Association (Real Federación Española de Fútbol) took the opportunity to arrange a discussion around the SLO function ahead of the recent Europe League match between Villarreal and Slavia Prague in Spain.

A representative of SD Europe recently took part in the annual Pan-European Football Policing Training Project (PE-FPTP) event, delivered under the auspices of the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) in cooperation with the Bulgarian CEPOL National Unit, the EU Thank Tank on Football Security and Liverpool University. In early September SD Europe attended the UEFA-EU Stadium and Security Conference in Munich at the invitation of UEFA. The event takes place at the start of each new club competition season and brings together national association security officers, stadium safety managers, club safety officers and police representatives from all European clubs that have qualified for the next season of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

Connections between Cork City FC and Malmö FF existed long before they both agreed to became part of SD Europe’s ‘Clubs and Supporters for Better Governance in Football’ project back in 2015. SD Europe is delighted to confirm that our project application LIAISE was recently selected for funding by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.

The Czech Football League (LFA), who recently assumed responsibility for the SLO work from the Football Association of the Czech Republic (FACR), organised the first SLO workshop for Czech clubs in Prague on 20 July.
