FCUM welcome Erasmus+ partners CAP CDM and Cava United this weekend

As the Clubs and Supporters for Better Governance in Football project draws into its final months, FC United of Manchester will welcome Erasmus+ partners C.A.P. Ciudad de Murcia and Cava United to Broadhurst Park this weekend.

All project partners travelled to Manchester last summer when FC United hosted the project’s Good Governance workshop over a three-day period, and CAP CDM and Cava United will now return once more and experience the FCUM life.

The visit will see both clubs with a further opportunity to discuss key topics of concern to all three football clubs, while experiencing match day as Nuneaton Town come to Broadhurst Park to play a National League North fixture.

In addition, FC United’s efforts in their local community, the tradition and history of FCUM and the latest developments in and around Broadhurst Park will be outlined.

The CSBGiF project has seen six member-run football clubs and five national supporters organisations from across Europe come together to share and highlight best practice around the themes of good governance, sustainable finance as well as member and volunteer engagement. 38 organisations from 18 different countries attended the final workshop in Gelsenkirchen in June, and the final project meeting – along with SD Europe‘s AGM – will be held in Dublin next month.

A series of exchange visits between the clubs and member organisations has enabled meaningful connections and shared best practices to develop, much of which will be highlighted in an online training tool being developed by the SD Europe team as part of the project activities.
