The FMF (Football Association of Moldova) has recently organised its second training workshop for the club SLOs since 2012. SLOs of nearly all first division clubs were present at the workshop and the FMF was represented by Victor Daghi, SLO coordinator and Head of Press.
The FMF updated the participants about the role of the SLO, who then discussed experiences from last season, shared good practices and analysed the problems they faced. Since the introduction of the SLO, the work of clubs with their supporters has improved and ideas and alternatives in order to increase attendance of matches was also debated among the participants.
It is reminded that in Moldova the SLO project is managed by the Federation and is a requirement for all top-division clubs (currently 12) and non-compliance results in license removal. Moreover, the FMF have appointed a national team SLO for which Victor Daghi commented at the SLO survey “In March 2013 Moldova played a WC Qualifying match in Odessa against Ukraine. Almost 300 Moldovan supporters come to this match and it was a wonderful experience for me to collaborate with Moldovan fans and Ukrainian police“.
