SD Europe is delighted to confirm that following a successful transition process which has been completed a month earlier than scheduled, Stuart Dykes is now formally in place as CEO.
This follows the announcement in January 2022 confirming Antonia Hagemann’s departure as CEO.
Stuart, a long-suffering Schalke season ticket holder and FC United of Manchester founding member, will be no stranger to the network and membership, having been with SD Europe since 2010. During his time with the organisation as Head of SLO Development, Stuart has played a pivotal role in facilitating the implementation of Article 35 of UEFA's club licensing regulations (Supporter Liaison Officer) on behalf of UEFA in addition to the development and management of two European wide projects focusing on the development of SLOs; LIAISE and TRANSFER. In 2020, Stuart completed the Executive Master in Global Sports Governance (MESGO) programme, graduating with a high-class distinction during which he authored his thesis titled "Fan Dialogue in France: Impact of the Law of 10 May 2016 on Strengthening Dialogue with Supporters".
New CEO Stuart Dykes said “this is an exciting time to be taking the lead at SD Europe given the discussions working towards the involvement of supporters in the structures of football governing bodies. I look forward to steering SD Europe through the uncharted waters ahead for the benefit of all European football supporters.”
