Last month, on March 26th, Supporterscollectief Nederland held their first congress at the KNVB campus in Zeist with over 100 supporters present.
The Supporterscollectief was founded in 2016 and has 38 member groups representing 30 different clubs to date.
SD Europe was invited, alongside our friends from CAFE and FSE, to present our organisation and its background and to speak about the SLO project which many of the people present showed interest in.
Most of the afternoon was used to address the potential new league system in the Netherlands. It was an active discussion with input from many of the participants.
“Having a Supporters Collective is a huge step forward. Together with all our members, we have to cooperate and take responsibility to make the Supporterscollectief Nederland a success,” board member Herjan Pullen said.
Supporterscollectief Nederland represents the interests of all football supporters in the Netherlands. Everyone from the active supporter who’s following the team both at home and away, the loyal season ticket holders, to the fan who occasionally wants to attend a match. Their vision is that all these different types of fans should be able to enjoy football in the way they want.
