Meet The SD Europe Team

Stuart has campaigned on supporter-related issues at club and national level in Germany since 1992. He bought his first season ticket at FC Schalke 04 in 1989 and is also a founder member of FC United of Manchester.

He joined Supporters Direct in September 2010 to facilitate the implementation of Article 35 of UEFA's club licensing regulations (Supporter Liaison Officer) on behalf of UEFA.

In April 2020 he completed the Executive Master in Global Sports Governance (MESGO) programme, graduating with a high-class distinction. His thesis had the title "Fan Dialogue in France: Impact of the Law of 10 May 2016 on Strengthening Dialogue with Supporters". Stuart became SD Europe CEO in March 2022.
 

Tony Ernst, from Malmö, Sweden. Works in the SLO Department at SD Europe, and has been the editor of the new SLO Handbook, the joint effort between SD Europe and UEFA, for the last year. Additionally, Tony is the former chairman of MFF Support, the official supporter club of Malmö FF and the former chairman of SFSU, the Swedish Supporter Union, which encompasses all the supporter clubs in Sweden.

Lena, from Stockholm, Sweden, works in the SLO Department at SD Europe, where she runs the UEFA Academy SLO Programme and provides support to SLOs all around Europe. In addition, she works as an SLO for Djurgårdens IF and the Swedish national teams. Lena is also a former board member of SFSU, the Swedish Football Supporter Union.

Luke, from Worcester, UK, works on planning and implementing SD Europe’s communications covering both the membership and SLO departments. Additionally, Luke, who holds a BA in Football Business & Marketing from UCFB Wembley, is a former director of fan-owned football club Worcester City FC, a former board member of the Worcester City FC Supporters’ Trust, and served for 6 months on the board of Supporters Direct.
