The first UEFA club SLO bilateral meeting of the 2014/15 season took place in Wales ahead of the Champions League second round qualifying game between The New Saints and Slovan Bratislava in July. Organised by the Football Association of Wales (FAW), it was attended by the SLOs of Welsh clubs Port Talbot Town and Connah’s Quay and Stanislav Kramaric, the SLO of Slovan Bratislava. As FAW head of competitions Andrew Howard reported: “The SLOs exchanged experiences from their own leagues and shared information about the respective leagues. The informal gathering was worthwhile for all three SLOs and provided some food for thought and extra knowledge for all concerned. I think that it is a good idea to carry out at such matches, if the SLO isn’t too busy!“
